We’ve heard of honoring an idol with a painting, statue or maybe even a tattoo, but a corn field? Weeks after leading Argentina to its first world cup since 1986, Lionel Messi’s face can now be seen from the heavens on a field in Cordoba, Spain. “Messi is unbeatable…Now they are world champions, I am delighted this can be expressed by planting the crop,” says Maximiliano Spinazze, the farmer who planted the crop formation of Messi’s face using an algorithm that calculated where the seeds needed to go to create the image.
