RRR emerges as critics’ favourite film of 2022.

By India Today Web Desk: SS Rajamouli’s film RRR has become a global phenomenon. Ever since its release, the film has been winning accolades across the globe. Recently, the movie won an award for Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu at the Golden Globe Awards 2023. It is also shortlisted for the Oscars 2023. And now, RRR has emerged as the critics’ favourite film of 2022. It was released in cinemas on March 25 last year. The SS Rajamouli directorial managed to beat Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans and secured 6th position on the list.


The Associated Press asked some top critics of the United States to share their favourite movies of 2022. And it resulted in the top 25 ranking of the year’s best movies. RRR bagged the 6th spot on this list whereas Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans secured the 8th position. Check out the top 10 critics’ favourite films of 2022:

RRR is directed by SS Rajamouli. The film featured Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. The film revolves around two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR), their friendship and their fight against the British Raj. Apart from Jr NTR and Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Edward Sonnenblick.
